What read-only mode means
When a trial or subscription ends, nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden. You keep full visibility, you lose the ability to change things.
Subscription status is checked on Seed's servers. If your trial ends without an active subscription, your account switches to read-only mode.
What you can still do
- View all of your accounts, balances, and net worth history
- Browse your full transaction history
- Review your forecast, investments, debts, and savings goals
- Read past Gardener conversations and insights
What is locked
Actions that change data are locked until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted while you are in read-only mode, and everything unlocks the moment an active subscription is restored.
Full detail
There is a dedicated page covering read-only mode in depth, linked from the alert the app shows you.
