Setting up savings goals
Goals give your saving a target and a timeline, and connect monthly contributions to the thing they are actually for.
A savings goal is a target you are working toward: an emergency fund, a deposit, a trip, a planned purchase. Progress shows how much has been saved against the target.
Connecting a goal to your month
Create a forecast item for the contribution, then open it and use Link to Savings Goal. Each month's contribution then counts as progress toward the goal rather than sitting as an unattached line in the plan.
Emergency fund is measured in months
Seed Score measures your emergency fund in months of essential expenses covered, not a flat dollar amount, so the target scales to your actual life. Six months or more is full marks, three or more is partial, one or more counts for a little.
Consistent saving is also one of the three habits that can earn the Seed Score monthly streak reward, alongside debt paydown and investing.

How Seed Score works
Four scored components, five tiers, and a weekly pulse of what is helping and what is holding you back.
Tracking debt and payments
Debt is part of net worth and part of the monthly plan. Link the payment to the debt so paydown shows as progress.
