Why Seed never sees your bank password

Bank sign-in happens inside Plaid, not inside Seed, and the resulting connection is read-only.

When you link an account, the sign-in screen you see belongs to Plaid, not to Seed. Your bank username and password are entered there and are never seen or stored by Seed.

What Seed receives back is permission to read your balances, transactions, and holdings. That connection cannot initiate a payment, a transfer, or any movement of money. Even if someone got into your Seed account, they could not move a dollar with it.

Revoking access

Disconnecting a linked account in Seed stops future syncing for that account. You can also revoke the connection from your bank's own security settings.
