A missing transaction, a stale balance, or a bank that stopped reporting. Work through these checks in order.

Most sync problems come from the bank side rather than from Seed. Work down this list before contacting support.

Start here

  1. 1Refresh the screen and check whether the account is still syncing.
  2. 2Check the account's connection status in the Accounts area. If the connection is broken, reconnect it there.
  3. 3Give the institution time. Some banks post transactions in batches, hours after the purchase.

A transaction is missing

  • It may still be pending and not yet returned as a posted transaction.
  • It may be outside the date range currently selected in your filters.
  • The institution may not have released it yet.
  • Clear any active filters, including exclusion filters, and search again.

A balance looks wrong

  • Check pending transactions, which are not final until they post.
  • Check whether a manual item or manual transaction is also counted.
  • Check transfers between your own accounts, which move money without being spending.
  • For investment accounts, remember market movement changes value with no transaction at all.

A forecast looks wrong

Check that you are looking at the right month, and that transactions are matched to the correct forecast items. An unassigned transaction does not fill any progress bar.

Still stuck?

If the problem persists after reconnecting the account, contact support with the institution name and roughly when it last worked.
