Searching and filtering transactions
Search by merchant, amount, or even a line item on a scanned receipt. Then learn the press-and-hold gesture that turns a filter into an exclusion.
You can search transactions by merchant, description, category, amount, or account. You can also search by what was on a scanned receipt: searching a line item such as Branzino finds the transaction it was on, including pending ones.
How the filter sheet combines
- Each section (Account, Tags, Date Range, Type) accepts several pills at once.
- Picks inside a section are OR'd. Chase plus Amex means either account. Groceries plus Dining means either tag.
- Sections are combined with AND. Chase plus Groceries means Chase transactions tagged Groceries.
- All Accounts, All Tags, All Time, and All clear their own section.
Turning a filter into a without
Tapping a pill adds or removes it. Pressing and holding turns the whole section into an exclusion: the pills go red and read No Chase, No Groceries, No Income, and dates read Outside Last 30 Days. Holding again flips the section back.
Excluded tags keep untagged transactions
Excluding a tag keeps transactions that have no tags at all, because they are legitimately without the tag you excluded.
If you cannot find something
It may still be pending, delayed by the bank, outside the selected date range, or not synced yet. Clear your filters and widen the date range before assuming it is missing.
